Just test latest apk. Left click menu is good idea. Profile selection also working! I think its time to completely uninstall kodi! 🙂

I've installed and tested it for several days now. My suggestion for an additional feature is the ability to enable or disable the display of EPG/Logo channels, because some providers may not integrate EPG/Logo into their DVBS, T, and C signals like the television stations in my country.

I’m not completely sure I understand what you mean by the channels being fully removed from the channel list.
If that’s what you mean, wouldn’t it be easier to just create a channel list and assign it to the specific user?

I installed tvhstream from the Google Play Store, but when I tried to set up the tvh server information, the keyboard didn't appear so I couldn't enter the information. I tried it on both Mibox 4K gen 2 and Mecool KT2, and the same thing happened.

daonguyen minhnhat I’ve partially fixed it in the next version, so the update should be available in a few hours. It still needs a bit more patience.

Hi, @Jane , player have some strange behavior. hevc_vaapi transcoded stream with resolution 720x576 does not stretch automatically to 16:9. It is possible to add in player menu, option to force 16:9 ?

Kiril St. I think it’s possible, but could you please use GitHub Issues to create an enhancement or feature request for transparency?

Jane It works, but I think force option is better to be as default player setting, not per channel, because every time I start app and channel with low resolution, I must navigate to enable 16x9.

After setting up TvHeadend for my Sat feed I assumed I could use Plex DVR but I ran into problems. The Android app for Plex on my Nvidia Shield just doesn't do the job with stutterings and failures. Think it's down to the EXO Player the Android app uses since my phone iOS app performs much better. I was therefore on the hunt for a player exactly like you have developed. Something simple with no clutter that just does the job. I've done some testing and left some issues and enhancements on GitHub. If you require further testing in a particular area then fire me a message. I'll look forward to hopefully further development.

I have been using TVHeadend server for many years for watching live tv on various devices as well as recording tv shows/movies and playing them back.

I started off using low cost hardware (mostly raspberry pi's) and running the Tvheadend addon inside kodi, either in openelec/librelec or rasbian. Last year I purchased one of the google TV dongles and that seem to run okay using kodi. Very recently, I upgraded to a Google Streamer 4K box, thinking my experience would be better overall, as i ran out of storage space on the previous google TV dongle. However I have had nothing but problems with buffering/caching/streaming issues. From what I can determine, there seems to be a software/hardware issue with the Google streamer 4K and kodi doesn't play nice. Having said that, every other app installed on the 4K streamer works perfectly.

Yesterday I installed VLC on the 4K streamer and that seemed to work a bit better to stream recordings. I set up a DLNA/UPNP server to broadcast the recordings folders so that VLC can see the TVheadend recordings.

Anyway, very keen to test and try out your new app. The simple solution is often the best.

b-rabbitt I had updated my Google TV Streamer and the streaming is better. It's able to decode interlaced streams properly now. Just that in Kodi it keep buffering and stuttering and slowing down. Might be a bug..
