I’ve tested both pull requests together, and it finally works as expected.

Flole tvheadend/tvheadend2204 seems to be the one for your issue, the other one is for timeshifting (so if you dont use timeshift its sufficient to test this build). If you check the status of the action run and scroll past all the warnings, all the way to the end of the page (for example at tvheadend/tvheadendactions/runs/30476899771?pr=2204)) then you will find the various builds and can download them directly.

Ok. Could you please advise how to contact GitHub user "Flole998" here in the forum? His username doesn't seem to be matching here. Flole998 has been committing most of the TVH code changes recently.

@Flole in this forum is @Flole998 on GitHub. He is not the only person with merge rights but as the technical lead for the project he does most of the merging. If you comment on the PR he (and others) will receive email spam from GitHub with the comments. NB: The pull requests are open for less than 24-hours and nobody is going to rush merging, so please exercise patience.

Flole Binaries are provided for all supported systems on GitHub from the CI Builds, so if just want to test a PR there is no need to setup a build system, you can just download the package from the PR CI runs

Thanks for pointing me there. There are actually two PRs, #2204 and #2205, addressing the ORF2 issue. I’m not very fluent with GitHub, but I checked the Actions for both and saw the Ubuntu Noble Numbat checks, though I’m not sure what to do with them. I couldn’t find the CI build. Would the binary from #2205 also include the changes from #2204?

There is no build currently which has both of them, so maybe a PR with both commits would be beneficial here to help testing.

ORF 2 Issue resolved. A small glitch at the beginning and a small glitch at the end of the regional broadcast. And most important: the TVH stream doesn't crash anymore. I also tried all other programs concerning a regression, all good. Thank you, @boern99, you really nailed it! Finally!

Working timeshift was the last missing piece:
now have a working version for all 3 cases: Live-TV, Recording and Timeshift: so no more restrictions.
I merged the timeshift fix to: tvheadend/tvheadend2206 which contains all 3 fixes as single commits.
