"File missing"??

Greetings:
I've been using tvheadend for several years now as an OTA DVR on a Raspberry PI. The output files are recorded to the microSD card (plenty of room, over 200GB) and later downloaded to my NAS for playback as desired and then removed from the DVR. This system has had it's share of hiccups over the years, but overall has been great! I'm currently running "HTS Tvheadend 4.3-2375_g653bd0400" on bookworm.

My current issue is that I frequently have a program scheduled to be recorded and when logging in afterward to download the output, it does not show up under "Finished Recordings", but under "Removed Recordings" as "File missing". The file is not anywhere on the Raspberry PI. I cannot tell if something happened and the recording never occurred or the file somehow got deleted.

I searched the forum and read through the post "https://tvheadend.org/d/8700-download-and-restart-lead-to-missing-file-bug", but in my case, the file is indeed missing. I guess my question is 'why is it missing?' and 'what needs to be done to resolve this?'

bigfootnlc What do you see in the Tvheadend log file around the time of the recording?

These cards can often have a limited number of read/write cycles. Are you sure that your card is still good?

I have issues getting logging to work as I expect. I have modified the Configuration > Debugging > Configuration screen and applied, but never get anything. Please advise on how to best configure logging.

bigfootnlc I believe by default logging goes into the Linux journal. Try sudo journalctl -u tvheadend.

Another program, during similar time windows, has this line (Watson does not):

The Watson program being recorded for two hours, to make up for sports delays, hit it's time window perfectly. It just appears to have never been written to storage properly?

DeltaMikeCharlie #p47653 The whole system is only about a year old so I would expect the card to still be viable. However, I will see about getting some new microSD cards.

bigfootnlc I don't believe that the recorder is starting. You're using ATSC and I'm on mpegts so it's difficult to compare results, but I get these journal entries when a recording runs:

Could you enable debug for the "dvr" subsystem? I believe you have to tick "Debug to syslog" to direct the output to the journal.
