Hi guys,

I use a TVHeadend Server 4.3-2180 on Librelec. I save recordings with the profile matroska. It works best with my clients. Everything works great, but there is one thing that is pretty annoying: Every recording has the subtitles saved as standard output. I don't need them. So everytime I start to view a recording, I have to go to the settings and deactivate the subtitles for the file. I couldn't find a solution in the settings, where I could deactivate the recordings for the subs or make them non-standard for the output. Has anyone an idea?

This sounds like it could be a function of your playback client. Does your client have subtitles set on by default?

Yes, the clients are Kodi. It's turned on by default and and want it, to see forced subtitles in movies. But I don't want to see subtitles when I watch a TV recording. Is there any way to switch of the recording of the subtitles?

I have not tried either of these personally:

      1) You could try a Stream Filter (Configuration -> Stream -> Stream Filters) and remove the subtitle or teletext that way.
      2) You could try a post-recording script to pass the recorded file through FFMPEG to remove the subtitles.
