Manually adding ITV HD Tyne TEES to my chanel list

Hi, how can I manually add ITV HD Tyne TEES to my channel list, TVH picks up ITV HD from Liverpool, so all the news reports are from Liverpool and surrounding places. We are in the northeast of England and our local is Tyne Tees.

I found this but don't know if it's any help or if it's relevant at all ha.

Are you using Bouquets? If so you probably need to switch to the one for your area - "England HD: NE & C/Tyne Tees N" or "England HD: NE & C/Tyne Tees S" look possible, though there are several others and I'm not sure what the differences are.

davep hi thank you for your quick reply! I'm really sorry I'm not sure what you mean by bouquets? If you could explain what this is I can answer your question as best as possible, the setup has been built for a while and forgot the process of setting it up. Thanks

A Bouquet is a selection of channels, used on satellite TV to give users the correct choice of programming for their geographical area.

Look at Configuration -> Channel/EPG -> Bouquets. Is the 'Enabled' box ticked on any of the entries?

davep AHH thank you! So i use terrestrial Arial not satellite, but it looks to be enabled. I've took some screenshots of my tuner settings. Hope this helps

Ah OK you're on terrestrial. I can't work out from the frequencies which transmitter you're receiving from, but you can only receive the single ITV region broadcast by your transmitter.

davep that's what I thought, but we didn't notice until the news when it was west midlands.

There're maps of all TV transmitters at https://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv-radio-and-on-demand/coverage-and-transmitters/tv-transmitter-maps/ You haven't said exactly where you are, so we can't help much further, but you need to look up where you are in relation to the Tyne Tees transmitters and check what direction your aerial is pointing in and that it's correct. You should also check that the type of aerial you have is correct if you're receiving from the wrong transmitter. Other links that might be useful include:

When you know where you are and which transmitter you think you should be receiving from a local aerial installer may be able to help you to set it up right.

Hello sorry for tue delayed reply. Only got back to this now. So im based in Stockton on Tees. The known masts we are ment to access is 1st priorty Bilsdale and second option Pontop Pike.

The arial is externally mounted, can receive S2 transmitted channels and was fitted by a professional arial installer prior to us purchasing the property so have no way of testing the arial. The property is 10 years old so arial could only be that old. Although TVH is set to access channels from Bilsdale, if we watch channel 103 itv SD shows as Tyne Tees region whichbis our correct region. But if you view any of the three ITV HD channels TVH has pulled its ITV Granada (west midlands) news. We prefer to watch ITV HD with local news. Thanks hope this helps further.

From Stockton-on-Tees the Pontop Pike and Bilsdale transmitters are in completely different directions, so which one you're receiving (if either) will depend on which way your aerial is pointing. Which one is it?

If you look at the programmes on your TV without using TVHeadend, what do you see? Do you see the same channels as on TVH or not?

If you see the same channels then your problem is not related to TVH and you need to sort it out with your aerial installer. If you see different channels then the setup of your TVH is wrong, and we can help you with that once we understand the actual situation.

Neither transmitter should be showing you local Liverpool news unless that is something ITV are actually doing for some reason. Where I live in East Anglia we sometimes get London local news when they are doing work on our local studios for example.

OK. so what do you see if you watch an ITV HD channel on a TV? The same as via TVH or different?

So for some reason on the tv guide i cant see ITV HD at all now. for TVH just a cannel no 3 itv granada but when searching for ITV HD nothing comes up.

By "tv guide" I assume you mean the EPG shown on your TV? So you need to set up your TV properly so it is showing all the channels. Until you can see the live TV you want on your TV, there's not much point in trying to set TVH up.
