tvheadened various questions

Hi all,

I am looking for answers for my pretty basic questions. Hopefully, I will receive some answers.

TVheadened - to receive streams do I pay anything? for example: if i want to run iptv, do I still need to buy links from other sources?
I dont have any tuners, only have zgemma h11s. How I can receive any streams / iptv?
How to install sat>ip by baracuda?

I have installed tvheadened on my old optiplex 790, I can't find any tuners or streams. Please help?

matt s you’re asking theses questions in the wrong forum. TVH does not supply IPTV streams in any format. I suggest you do a little more research before attempting to use TVH.

Jonas Lang I'm trying to understand what tvheadened does exactly. It seems it allows network iptv, which basically means to me allows iptv itself. It is a server, but server for what? Whats the difference between using paid iptv and tvheadend. Tried searching about tvheadend, very little info. Just confused a lot.

Jonas Lang I saw docs few times now. I have zgemma h11s, how to make it visible to tvheadend?

Should I install it on the same PC as I have tvheadened or should I install it on zgemma h11s? Zgemma has tuner in it, but it's not visible to tvheadened .

matt s I know nothing about Zgemma.

Install TVH on PC and configure the Sat/IP section in TVH to point to your Zgemma.

If you’re able to announce your Zgemma on your network to TVH as a tuner you could go that route too. Similar to a dedicated Sat/IP tuner.

I suggest searching forums that deal with Zgemma receivers.

I'm not sure how i can configure sat/ip section to point to zgemma. If some tutorials available please send.

My current setup:

optiplex 790 = tvheadend
zgemma = I want to use it as tuner but not sure how to connect it so tvheadend would be showing it under configuration > dvb inputs > adapters > none available currently, zgemma has tuner inside it . The issue is tvheadend doesnt see zgemma tuner.

You need to find out from the Zgemma community how best to do that.
