For anyone coming across this thread and wanting to do the same, the PCTV491e is a great little device, but there are 2 versions of the same model. The older model works fine with TVH by the sound of things. I recently bought a new one to replicate what Martin has done - the newer chipset isn't supported on Linux (yet). It seems several people have been in touch with support (including me), and it's on the radar, but not a priority. Fingers crossed they sort it soon.
