Tvheadend on LG Hotel-TVs?

Hello!

Is it possible, to get Tvheadend working on LG Hotel-TVs via IPTV (WebOS)? I have read some comments that it should work, others say no...

If it is not possible to watch TV, would it eventually be possible that least the channel-management / channel-sorting works via Tvheadend?

You can stream from TVHeadEnd to another device. You need to know the IP address of your TVH server and the 'UUID' of the channel that you would like to watch.

http://{TVH_IP}:9981/stream/channel/{CHANNEL_UUID}?profile=pass

You can also get a list of channels as follows:

http://{TVH_IP}:9981/playlist

When I put this URL into VLC, my playlist show my available channels and I can select accordingly.

With of Pro:Centric platform you have?
Lot of hotel platforms use multicast not unicast as @DeltaMikeCharlie suggested.
TVH can be used as backend without problem epg also can be used.
Rest is done by portal.

We have Procentric in some hotels installed. But in a few hotels, it does not work because we have no permanent power at the TVs (the TV has only power, when the guest inserts his hotel card at the entrance of the appartment). Procentric is not designed for such operation, that the TVs lose their connection permanently to the Procentric server (because it exchanges information with the TVs even the TVs are off, like version number, updates and so on)
The Procentric server itself is IMO a pain in the a**. Especially the older versions and their GUI - very slow. I don't understand when you are a mulitibillion company, that you can produce such a crap. However, when Procentric runs, it works not bad.

I watched some installation videos of Tvheadend and I was amazed how easy and fast it works.
I will definitely give it a try!

I don't have problems in my installation's with LG platform,
when user put card and electric come in room, tv start and connect directly, just as tv was restarted.

In some hotels TV and Fridge are connected separate from main electric card switch, but this is other think.
