Description

I trust this hasn't been reported before. It is a long standing issue that I finally have got around to raising.

I use Kodi to preset record tv programmes and when playing them back if they has been an interruption to the broadcast reception which may be indicated by brief corruption of the video signal then the audio is also lost but completely for the rest of the recording while the video returns to normal. It is very intermittent in nature so I am not sure what information to provide other that version and receiver.

Does audio exists when you play the recordings in VLC or any other media player?

Hmm, I can't say for certain as not tested recently. Unfortunately the last few bad recordings were deleted so will have to try and generate another one. Quite hard when reception for all the channels is suddenly pristine ;)

A little tin foil wrapped around the stick in the middle of a recording might help. ;)

Just found a recording from a few nights ago where the audio stopped about 20mins in.

Checking on my desktop with VLC the audio stops and there is a brief video glitch and the audio never returns.

I have lossless cut the video to that section and attached if that helps.

There are no audio packets from the certain time. Is anything related in the tvh log for this?

It might be help to have the original MPEG-TS stream to reproduce this issue. Could you record to both .mkv and .ts formats? I might try to reproduce the issue here with the .ts file (the recorded TS file can be cut using 188 byte multipliers - using dd or any other cmd line utility).

Didn't realise it logged by default... found the recording log, hope it's enlightening! :)

I am not sure when I'll be able to get a TS file, I don't have too much server space atm and this occurs intermittently.
