UK Receiving DVB-T2 but not DVB-T

Hi All,

Hoping someone with more experience can help me out. I have an old x-box tv tuner (picked up for £6 at CEX). I'm running DietPi on a NanoPiR5C. TVH is up and running via docker and i can successfully tune in to DVB-T2 muxes from the Mendip transmitter. On 586MHz i pick up 12 HD channels.

Sadly I don't seem to be able to find any other channels. I attach my w_scan output that shows nothing on DVB-T

The TV in my living room is receiving all freeview channels - so i'm a little confused and would appreciate any thoughts / advice

i also have the output from DVB5 that shows success finding HD channels on 586MHz and 482MHz

I haven't read all 421 posts but I have seen mention that the tuner is a little 'deaf' on DVB-T which might explain your problem

Thanks for the reply and the link, will dig through and see what I can find.

I suspect weak signal is the route of my issues. My property is served by an optical feed from a central aerial. There's then a box in my property, triax TDC4, it has an led on it that if not illuminated suggests low / no signal.

If it is weak signal, you'll perhaps need to prove that (local TV aerial installer?) and then ask whoever's responsible to fix it. But your TV is working, which suggests it might be due to the lack of sensitivity or design of the tuner you have instead.

I had given up, assuming the x-box tuner was my issue. I'm happy to report that today, having done precisely nothing for several weeks, i have suddenly managed to get 161 services 🙂

i am confused, but content
