Is there still a free XML EPG grabber?

Years ago, I was using the 'tv_grab_file' option (which may have been misspelled 'tv_grag_file'. It used a service called zap2xml.pl, if I recall correctly. Anyway, this is apparently now defunct and when I've tried to configure any of the XMLTV grabbers that tvheadend offers out of the box, they prompt me to go create an account online, which asks for payment.

Is there still a method for obtaining non-OTA EPG data that doesn't require a paid account?

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned I'm in North America but it's promising to know that free options still exist.

Note you don't need to use Docker if you don't want to, just read to the end in that thread. Also maybe you know this already, but if you are looking at the Perl script and want to copy and paste it, click the "Raw" button near the upper right corner of the page to get the raw text version with no line numbers.
