Unable to see new UI

Hello. I have been trying unsuccessfully to swap to the new gui. I'm fairly new to linux so I may be missing something obvious.

TVH was installed following the instructions in your docs and using the https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/tvheadend/tvheadend/setup.deb.sh repo. All works perfectly however I see only the old UI.

If I try navigating to http://ip:9981/gui I see the following:

Vue UI not available in this build
This binary was built without the Vue UI (neither vue_build nor vue_cache enabled). Use the ExtJS UI instead.

Am I missing something simple or should I have installed TVH a different way? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

That should not happen. Could you please state which architecture and OS you are running?

It's running on an intel x86_64 architecture

OS is Linux Mint 22.2 Zara

On the about page for TVH it shows version as:
HTS Tvheadend 4.3.0_pre+202609070630-0_{built202609080002}git4ffbc07e6_ubuntu24.04.1

That is an unofficial build you are running there, it is not from the official repository. In that case please contact the maintainer of your package for assistance, only they can change their build process to include the new web ui.

ahh ok, I must admit, I'm not entirely sure how to go about that.

I installed TVH using the instructions listed here: https://docs.tvheadend.org/documentation/installation/linux using the commands for the deb package. ie;

curl -1sLf 'https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/tvheadend/tvheadend/setup.deb.sh' | sudo -E bash
sudo apt-get install tvheadend

The downloads page lists it under official sources so I had assumed it pointed to an official build.

Thanks for your help, that pointed me in the right direction and I have reinstalled TVH and now see the new UI

I’m seeing the same issue with the Docker image ghcr.io/tvheadend/tvheadend:latest on Raspberry Pi OS Trixie running on an ARM64 (aarch64) Raspberry Pi.

When accessing /gui, I get the same “Vue UI not available in this build” message.

The missing GUI should be resolved in tvheadend/tvheadend2257
