Releases after 8th July default to our new Web GUI which has been in development for the last three months. The 'New' GUI is functionaly equivalent to the 'Classic' GUI and brings a modern visual aesthetic in addition to many navigational improvements including a new Home page and timeline EPG view. Huge thanks to Oliver Sluke for taking on the task and making it look simple. Thanks also to the project staff and users who tested development builds and shared feedback and ideas to drive the process forwards.
Why change the GUI? - The Classic GUI uses a long-obsolete version of the extJS framework with known security issues - it needed to change. Upgrading to a newer extJS version was blocked for commercial licensing reasons, and because extJS evolved so much we'd need a major rewrite not a minor upgrade. Once we knew a rewrite was inevitable, we were free to use any modern framework. The new one is based on 'Vue' and NodeJS.
Can I keep the Classic GUI? - Yes, but not forever. The Classic GUI is still accessible and will remain while users discover and report issues against the new GUI. There is no fixed timeline for its removal, but once we see the number of issue reports (and fixes) drop off, the Classic GUI will be removed.
Where can I report an issue? - Please open an issue report on the project GitHub Issue Tracker. Please use screenshots and logs to illustrate issues and make problem triage easier. If you have more general "How do I do/use.." questions, please open threads here in the forum.
We think the new GUI is awesome, and we hope you do too. Here's some screenshots:

Enjoy! 😎
