I am in Canada, the MPEG2 TV signal from ATSC-T v1 has embedded Closed Caption in the video data rather than a separate channel. When I pass the signal to VLC, the closed caption is available, but if I do MPEG2 to webtv-h264-aac-matroska hardware accelerated transcoding, VLC doesn't see closed caption.
Is there a possibility to keep the closed caption, or split it out as a subtitle?
