Out of date mux frequencies on UK FreeView, how to fix?

I am (re)installing TVH on a RPi 3b+ with a TV Hat.
When I get to the point where I choose the transmitter from a list I choose Beacon Hill.
However it looks like this file hasn't been updated for a few years and many entries are wrong.

So I made a new file for Beacon Hill and named it uk-Brochel, the name of the house.
I used wscan or one of the similar sounding utilities (can't remember now). The syntax of the file it produces is slightly different. I copy this file over to the directory in which uk-BeaconHill is located and fix permissions.

However when TVH gives me the list of files to choose from, the new file is not shown at all.

So I am guessing that TVH is looking for something in these files in order to regard them as valid. I would appreciate if someone could point me at the spec of the files.

Jim Hatfield I'd suggest starting with a copy of the Beacon Hill file and editing the frequencies etc individually, taking care to keep the formatting unchanged.

I had it installed already as w_scan_cpp. Not w-scan-cpp or w_scan-cpp or w-scan_cpp.

So I ran w_scan_cpp -f t -c UK -x and the output was identical from that of a couple of days ago.

According to wscan -c ? here the correct code for the UK is GB. I'm not clear whether what you did worked or not.

I did spot the mixup between GB and UK.

I thought I would try something different. The docs do say that the use of the transmitter data files is optional. So I didn't select any transmitter dropdowns, just hit Save & Next. However I then could not set up muxes manually as there was no "Muxes" tab in the UI any more.

I did also try using Generic-auto-default and Generic-auto-with167KHz-offsets. The first of these completed a scan but half the channels had no name, they just showed '{name-not-set}' in the Name column. The second never completed the scan, just hung at 98%. I had to kill the scan, but at least the channels all had names. Pity each channel was listed three times. I suspect TogetherTV here as I understand it is delivered by IP unlike the others. I might try again after 6pm when TogetherTV is live.

I got further, I simply edited the uk-BeaconHill file and changed the frequencies to match those output by w_scan.

Right now I can tune and record with no problem. The only issue I can see is that the EPG shows no title or text for the HD channels.
