Getting the best EPG from OTA scanners

I am in the UK and I use the SKY Bouquet for my channels and the SKY OTA grabber.
I have noticed, recently, that some of the channels are providing worse quality EPG information than I seem to remember - i.e. Not all channels have the S10E4 information beneath the channel.

Instead, for some channels, they have started to put it at the end of the description instead, which is really irritating as TVH cannot use this information.

I expected this on some of the less used channels but I have noticed that it is the same with quite a few mainstream channels. For example, Channel 4. I am just looking now and Countdown and A Place in the Sun have no Season or Episode numbers at all. Taskmaster now has the details at the end of the description (S20 Ep8/10) but I am sure that it used to have this information separately.

Has anyone else noticed the change?

I use Jellyfin to scrape all my recordings, so it is really messing things up at the moment.

Another irritation is that Movies often do not have the year in the title but again only in the description - again, this is not always helpful for scraping.

Is there a way to get better OTA details?

Is Freesat EPG any better?

At the moment, I have the SKY OTA grabber in top priority with the DVB EIT grabber in second priority.

I use both UK Freeview and Freesat, with the EPG grabbers set to their default so Freeview has the highest priority. I see the same (lack of) detail in the C4 programmes you mention, though I don't know if there has been any change.

That is irritating - I would have expected that major a broadcaster would provide such a basic thing.

Perhaps it has always been this way but I have only picked up on it now - for the last couple of years, I started to drift towards watching everything online but now I am moving back to recording everything. The adverts are just too oppressive, otherwise.

I guess I shall have to live with it.

I think it depends on the channel. Some have the data:

I scan 11778 V for EPG data using the mux scheduler.
