Periodically re-entered autorecs in “Upcoming recordings”

I have been using TVHeadend together with an xmltv-epg and Kathrein EXIP418 for many years.
Most recently with V4.3.x.
I encountered a disturbing behavior:
If entries are created in the “Upcoming recordings” area due to the activity of the EPG grabber via autorec rule, I clean them up manually.
After a while/periodically, these previously deleted entries appear to be automatically re-entered in the “Upcoming Recordings” section.
This also happens when I deactivate all grabbers and even when I remove the EPG source.
I have observed this disruptive behavior in native and Docker installations on x86 and arm machines.
The behavior of TVHeadend with regard to repeated entries in “Upcoming Recordings” that have already been manually deleted when EPG grabbers are turned off is such that TVHeadend cannot “remember” that these entries already existed.
The log also shows that TVHeadend repeatedly “recognizes” entries in the EPG as new and thus re-enters these supposedly “new” entries.
Unfortunately, this is disruptive for me, as I want to use autorecs a lot...
Is there a workaround for this?
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have not personally tried this, but perhaps disabling the recording, rather than deleting it, may help.

The field is visible if you Edit the recording and also on the list if the Enabled column is visible.

Disabling the “Enable” entry helps to work around the problem.

I now have to define my autorec rules a little more carefully – as far as possible.
This is because the rule specifications “star treck” and “science fiction” lead to one entry in the list of upcoming recordings.

If I now deactivate the one entry in the list of upcoming recordings (...and it was entered based on the “Star Trek” rule), it will be re-entered during the next EPG run based on the “science fiction” rule.

But I can live with that – it works for me.
