Permission denied accessing xmltv.xml

Re-run internal EPG Grabbers returns this result to the log:

2025-09-03 14:12:00.014 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_file: no output detected
2025-09-03 14:12:00.014 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_file: grab returned no data

TVH is working, as are the over the air grabbers. But when I use the Internal XMLTV:tv_grab_file, I get the permission denied.

I’ve tried just about every configuration of user:group I can think of, as well as chmod 777, but still permission denied.

Like me, it’s probably something simple, but I can’t figure it out.

I am not sure, but as a troubleshooting step, I would also check permissions on your directory too. Maybe put the file in /tmp and try it there?

Thank you. Moving the .xml file to /tmp worked. I've now moved my TVHeadendTools directory to /tmp, and changed the paths to all point to the new location, and everything is working.
