I am from Germany and am using the Kodinerds list for IPTV

What works with TVH is the pipe list, which seems to use the ancient MPEG-TS codec. This codec isn't supported by browsers, so using TVH via e.g. Jellyfin requires transcoding. I saw that the kodi_tv_main.m3u seems to use a newer MP4 codec, as there is avc1.640028,mp4a in the url. I can add this list to TVH. Channels are found, but when I assign them, they can't be played by e.g. the iOS TVH player.
Are these codecs not supported? If so, why not?
