TBS5530 DVB-S/S2 (frontend1)does not work with tvheadend

Hello,
I have a TSB5530 unit and I cannot make DVB-S/S2 (frontend1) tuner working with tvheadend (ubuntu x64 18.4 LTS). Also, I was not able to find any indication that this would work in any setup. Does anybody know anything about this issue?

It seems the TBS 5530 isn't even mentioned on the linuxtv site. The closest seems to be the TBS 5520. So apparently it doesn't work or is too new or something. I think you'd do better choosing one or more tuners that are listed as supported.

The problem is not the unavailability of the driver (it is available here: tbsdtv/linux_mediawiki), but after installing the driver, I get 2 frontends and later in tvheadend this I become a problem. The dvb-s tuner is not showing up anymore unless all the other tuners are disabled. So basically, tvheadend somehow is not able to handle this case: to have both dvb-t/t2 and dvb-s/s2 tuners enabled in tvheadend (I'm not refering to use them in same time, I know that would not be possible for this device).

Hi, had the same issue today.
Seems connecting both USB connectors (Red and Black) does not provide enough power for DVB-S.
Had to connect an external adaptor (12v) to the TBS5530. Now TVheadend shows all supported tuners (DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-S, etc). Now only using the black USB connector.

Peter I did connect external power, but still does not show. Some how it works fine in DVB Viewer PRO in windows. SO must be TVH issue.
