How to Disable Username and Password Prompt for Streaming Links in TVHeadend?

Hello,

I have successfully set up TVHeadend on my server and started streaming channels from a satellite source. However, when I try to play a stream in VLC Player using the following URL:

http://IP:Port/stream/channelid/133392208

I am prompted to enter a username and password.
I would like to know how I can disable the username and password prompt for streaming URLs.
I have already tried looking through the settings but couldn't find a solution. Could someone guide me on how to do this?

1m9u9z7i Two possibilities:

Create a user with the username "*" and no password. This may not be a good idea if your Tvheadend is accessible from the internet.
Look at "persistent authentication" in the online help. You then have to add an access code to each URL, which is less useful if you are starting viewing from the Tvheadend UI.
