Hardware transcoding nvenc support

I have installed the latest version of TVHeadend(4.3-2374_g26ec161fb) in my Qnap TVS-1282T3 I have also installed Qmultimedia to have ffmpeg with nvenc enabled for hardware transcoding. I will install a Nvidia A2000 GPU to my system. I have the latest Nvidia GPU driver and NvKernelDriver installed already. Now my question is how do I get the nvenc codec as an option under transcoding tab (add codec)? Is those nvenc codec not included in the TVHeadend QPKG version 0.9.8.3 downloaded from myqnap.org? Or maybe ffmpeg is built in to the TVHeadend but does not have nvenc enabled?

The builds downloaded from cloudsmith.io don't have nvenc enabled.
I don't know for sure if mmarley repository has NVENC enabled.
You can check (after you install): on the web interface tab About / search for text "Build: 4.3-" and click on link "Toggle details". Scroll down until you get to "nvenc" and if is 'yes' you have it if is 'no' you don't have it built.

ukn_unknown Thank you! I did not know you could check it on the "About" page. Unfortunately it says nvenc-NO. I assume ffmpeg is then built into TVH and are not using the default ffmpeg version installed in Qnap that has nvenc ---enabled? How ever there is no other builds available for Qnap systems as far as I can see and I do not know how to compile a new version to a .qpkg file.

Lugie please use the following documentation https://docs.tvheadend.org/documentation/development/compiling/compiling-tvh-with-vaapi-support in order to compile. It was tested on Lubuntu ... but I assume all flavors of Ubuntu should work with that flow. I assume you have i5-7500 or 6500 so you should have an iGPU. Enable first VAAPI and I can give a list of commands to enable NVENC codecs later on.
