Hi All
#Priorities:
I know how to change service priorities but wonder how the prioritization takes place if no priority was set by the user.
If all services which are mapped to a single channel are on priority 0. Which one gets chosen ?
Is it the one with the latest time value in "last seen" ?
And if so, what does "last seen" mean ?
Is it the last SUCCESSFUL scan or simply the last scan ignoring its result ?
(The info behind "Last seen" says: "When the Service was last seen during a mux scan." Does "seen" mean successfully scanned which would mean result was "OK" or "OK partial" or do I understand this completely wrong ?)
So far it feels for me as if services are chosen completely randomly if no user priority setting took place.
#Switch service:
In stream settings, users can select "Switch to another service:" by putting the check mark there. The info behind this functions says: "If something fails, try to switch to another service on ANOTHER NETWORK. Do not iterate through all inputs/tuners which are capable to receive the service". This is totally unclear to me. I have one network only. Only this one can receive the service. But there are multiple services for each channel in this single network. What does this setting (Switch to another service) do in my case ?
Thank you very very much !
PS-Background:
My IPTV provider sent me an m3u with 5 to 10 different links for each channel.
At time x, some of the links work, others don't.
I tried to prioritize the more often working ones but was very unlucky. Each time I wanted to watch, the service with the highest priority (set by me at some other point in time) will usually be connected to a mux which is not working at this point in time.
I deleted all my priority settings and enabled "idle scan muxes" in network settings, but that did not resolve my problem. Usually (Murphys law...) currently not working services/muxes get picked.
