cvlc pipe problem

I'm trying to add a mux with cvlc instead of ffmpeg.
I've verified this command works

But when I add add mux with this I get errors:

you are trying to run the command as the user "vlcuser". You have verified that this works from the commandline.

TVHeadend is complaining that it can not "switch" to the other user.

Under which user is tvheadend running? If this is not the same user as you are running the command from the commandline, that might be the issue.

So you're suggesting i should run TVheadend itself as vlcuser?

That could be a solution.

Another way would be to make sure that the user that thvheadend is running (might be hts) is able to run commands as vlcuser. This requires a little bit more linux knowledge but does not require you to change TVH config (possibly breaking things)
