Wrong Autorecs

Can I find out which Autorec entry triggered a specific recording?
My HTS Tvheadend 4.2.8 does recordings I didn't program.

In the current version web interface, in the recording tabs under Digital Video Recorder, the comment column should show the auto-recording source.

The same information is in the log files under the dvr/log folder.

I only have "Auto recording" in the comment field. In all recordings.

Ok I have found the autorec entry, but its title doesn't match and "Full-text" is not checked. Why is it recorded anyway?

... Ok the autorec has a "." in it (which makes it into a regex?) but it doesn't match anyway.
When I remove the ".", the scheduled recording disappears.

It'll be a lot easier to help if you post the actual autorec contents and the names of programs that are recorded. I expect that TVH is working correctly and you are mistaken, so I'm not prepared to waste much time thinking about the question, and I expect others may feel the same.

Can you explain how a single word with "." in it can match different programs than the word with the explicit character: "Wundersch.n" -> "Wunderschön"?

Name of the recorded program for "Wundersch.n": "Bob Ross - The Joy of Painting"

Is it now a lot easier?

--- changed back from "Wunderschön" to "Wundersch.n": no Bob Ross etc. anymore. Why?

Your autorec was the expression "Wundersch.n"? You do not have fulltext checked?

What was/were the title(s) of the programs that were recorded? (I'm still not sure if there's just one, or several)

Looking at the list of episodes for the german broadcasts of Joy of Painting ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Joy_of_Painting/Episodenliste ) I don't see a match for "wundersch" let alone any other part.

As to why the match has changed - perhaps because time has passed and there's no longer a match in the programmes due to be broadcast?

And why do you think the recording(s) that you do have were made because of this particular autorec?

Bob Ross came back after I changed to "Wundersch.n" again. And it goes away when I change to "Wunderschön". No, the description doesn't contain "Wundersch", and "Full-text" is not checked anyway.
And yes, Bob Ross is not the only false program recorded. None of them contain "Wundersch." anywhere.
I know because the recording has the corresponding comment.
I think the recorded titles contain "-" or "--", could that be a problem?

I found another entry with wrong recordings, also containing ".", and the false recording also has "-" in the title.

It seems to take time, I changed back to "Wundersch.n" but Bob Ross is not being programmed. Also not when tvheadend is restarted.

It comes back when updating the epg.
Also false titles without "-".

I give up. There's just too much vagueness and not enough facts to work with.

Yes the bugs seem to be too complicated for the developers.

It's an old version anyways, chances it will get fixed on that are 0.
