Hi there, so i got this card on the cheap and trying to use it with tvheadend.

I get it listed and such but i can't get it into /dev/dvb.

Looks like you need to download the firmware for it?

i did download xc3028L-v36.fw, but now what module should i use?

No idea.
I'm guessing you just put the firmware in /lib/firmware and reboot.
I can't help you beyond that.

With the device connected, reboot your system. Have a look at dmesg and search for any mention of missing firmware for the device in question. This could give you a hint regarding the firmware file name and/or location.
