Removed recordings tab -> Status -> File missing

I have been receiving the occasional, and ever more frequent, result of recording a program with Tvheadend status of "File missing" when logging in to retrieve the recorded program

I use "HTS Tvheadend 4.3-2155~gfe4df311d" on a Raspberry Pi only as an OTA DVR. I then move the recorded programs, as .ts files, to my NAS where they can be viewed via Kodi

The vast majority of my recordings are successful, but recently several recordings show up on the "Removed Recordings" tab with a status of "File missing". The files have been confirmed to not be on the Pi's microSD card

Does anyone out there have experience with this type of event? Can anyone provide a resolution to the problem? Are more details needed?

The Tvheadend log will show whether the recording took place and what the outcome was, also whether anything happened to the file afterwards.

Well, thanks for that, davep!
Looked at the log and found that one of my two tuners was, in effect, off-line. Ran apt-get to update everything, rebooted a couple of times, and now they both appear to be recognized and working again.
We'll see what happens now.
Odd that Tvheadend shows a status of File missing when it was really never recorded
