Title recordings bad on VLC

When I export m3u recordings to watch on VLC the title only shows the words after "-", example:

Test - Test2 ---> only shows Test2
Test - Test2 ----> shows Test Test2

I was trying with format string and Character set, but I think thats only affects the filename. The problem seems to be with the title tag. Any idea?

I think this is by design.

Look at the m3u file specification at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U, in particular the examples using the #EXTINF tag. M3u was designed for mp3 music files so the #EXTINF tag contains the artist and title, separated by a hyphen. It is not an official standard format and there doesn't seem to be a way to 'escape' the hyphen.

I test with "," and doesn't works, finaly I do windows script than replace "-" to " " and now its ok.

$m3u = Get-Content 'recordings.m3u'
$m3u | ForEach-Object {$_ -replace "-", " "}| Set-Content "c:\destiantionfolder\recordingsMOD.m3u"
