Tvheadend and diseqC 1.1

Hello, I have 8 satellites connected to diseqC switch 1.1 tried to connect to Tvheadend but noticed it supports 2 & 4 switch ports + advanced for 1.2 (motor)

can in understand Tvheadend not capable to handle 1.1 diseqC switch or 8 ports. pls guide me if missing something in configuration. My card is TBS6909X

TvHeadend is typically limited to 2 or 4 satellite inputs, depending on the configuration. Your TBS6909X card can handle up to 8 satellite inputs, but TvHeadend may not be able to utilize all of them effectively.

billieott Thanks for the info, so it’s confirmed Tvheadnet can’t handle DiseqC 1.1, I will change my configuration 4+4 and will utilize 2 inputs of my card.

Hello,

Maybe a bit late but, you can use up to 16 ports with DISEqC 1.1 switches.

You have to choose advanced, set "8" orbital positions, then save.
8 positions will appear.

For the first position, choose:

the network
the "LNB type" (usually "Universal")
the "switch type" "Generic"
then "save". "Switch: Generic" appears under the position.
Choose the "Switch: generic", select the port under "Uncommitted" and let the other options unset.

Then repeat it for each position
