Complete noob befuddled

Hi all,

I've installed TVHeadEnd on a RaspberryPi4 64bit OS.

I've got a Hauppauge WinTV 950q adapter that Raspbian sees just fine.

My only signal source is an antenna.

The install process went smoothly.

In the tuner selection, I only chose the ATSC selection.

For predefined muxes, I chose the United Stated: us-ATSC-T-center-frequencies-8VSB.

Then went through the remainder of the process.

Once the dust is settled, this is what the program guide shows:

This shows only 13 stations

For fun, I bought the Hauppauge WinTV 10 application to see what that produced.

The program channel shows 42 selections:

There are a couple more not shown here.

Why the difference?

I live in Williamsburg, VA. I can get signals from Norfolk, VA to the Southeast and Richmond, VA to the Northwest

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Wow.

I had shut TVHeadEnd down and moved the dongle to do the screen grabs.

When I rebooted the Pi, the TV listing now only shows 5 active streams.

I'm REALLY confuzzled....

Ok, if I open a viewer, I can select many channels not listed in the guide.

These also show up in Kodi on a Linux desktop.

Why aren't they on the EPG?

H'mmm.

Answering myself more than anything at this juncture.

It evidently takes some time for the EPG to populate.

But that's still about half of what's showing up on WinTV 10.

You do a mux scan and then map the services. Where are you pulling the EPG from.
