I haven't followed the latest development on Plex and Tvheadend the last couple of years. What's currently the most stable way to get a DVB-S signal to work with the Plex DVR?
Do sat tuners setup as a source in Tvheadend properly show up in Plex? Or do still you need an additional piece of software like xTeVe in the past? Where do you have to scan for channels and manager the channel listing? In Tvheadend and the just show up in Plex?
Also, where should you make DVR recording in order to get the most efficient hardware transcoding and save a stream in the best quality? Have Tvheadend make the recording and just push the finished recording into the Plex library? Or have the recording be handled by the Plex DVR?
