Loosing Finished Recording Titles

I have been running TV Head a few years on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a 100GB SSD USB disk for storage. When I download a few recordings the machine becomes unresponsive, and I lose all the title information, however all the recordings are still on the disk. Is there any way of getting the title information back please?

The old reboot trick brought back the title information, but any idea why a download caused the problem in the first place?
