If an expected tuner, in this case hdhomerun network tuner, is not available then TVH returns no input source and fails to record a programme.
It would be more robust/resilient if TVH would try another tuner if one is available rather than fail at first attempt.
Background
While arguably ok for single USB type tuners where TVH is likely to have exclusive access, this does not work well for network based multiple tuners where the access model is assumed non-exclusive.
My example is hdhomerun, most client s/w will grab the first available tuner. Therefore, you can not provide TVH with exclusive control of a hdhomerun tuner device if you also use it on your network with other s/w.
