Hello everyone this is my first post here in the community and I’m really not sure if I’m posting in the right forum.

I have a question of how to configure tvheadend to be able to play multiple streams at the same time.

But before that let me tell you how far I got until now.

I have installed and configured tvheadend 4.3 on my Ubuntu 22.4 LTS OS and then create a new IPTV network and paste my sat>ip m3u link in it to get the channels.

Everything is good now I can watch all the channels using VLC or even Jellyfin it works perfectly.

However if I try to play two channels at the same time the first channel will stop streaming while the second channel is playing.

Q: is there any trick or workaround to make more than one channel streaming at the same time?
Depends on how many streams your provider allows, if you have a single subscription, you will only ever be able to have one stream available at a time.
If you have more than one subscription, configure>dvd inputs> networks>edit and change Maximum # input streams: to however many streams you have subscribed.

Thank you for your reply sir.

Based on your instructions I have edit the maximum input stream of my iptv network which in default was 1 this allow only one stream at a time.

I did change it two 2 just for testing but here comes the issue if I play the second channel the first channel will freeze and stop working even though I can see the first channel stream still working on Status section but with 0 bandwidth

PS: I did set maximum input stream to 0 which from my understanding it allows unlimited stream through my network.

I have been searching around the forums for a related issue and I found that if I have only one tuner then I only can stream one channel at the time but does that include sat>up ? I’m not using dvb s or dvb t. Only attached the sat>Ip m3u link to the network.
