Good Morning Everybody,

i am experiencing a strange behaviour of TVHeadend and not really sure what to do about it. I googled a bit, but it didnt lead me to scenarios applying here.

My Setup: I am using Dietpi 8 (=Debian Bullseye with a large number of handy custom scripts) on a NUC9i9 - which has been working really nice and smooth for almost a year now. My TVheadend Version is 4.3-2027.

My Problem:

I use a 16 TB USB3 Hard Drive as storage pool for recordings. I usually kept the disk utilization around 50% by setting according retention parameters for the files.

Roughly a week ago i noticed three strange things (probably not related to each other):
1.) USB drives OR SD-Cards were usually auto-mounted to /mnt/<UUID> by default. This suddenly changed to /media/<user>/<UUID> (probably an update or something).
2.) The dbus-daemon suddenly had an unexpected high CPU utilization out of nothing. Like 5-15% on each Thread - always (and my i9 has 16 of them).

3.) After each reboot it seems like my TVheadend is losing the access to the recordings already made - the files are still in the filesystem - unchanged and where i configured them to be. However the counters in the upper right corner of TVheadend (where it usually says "Free/Used by TvHeadend/Total") always restart at Zero for "used by TVHeadend" and my recordings are moved to "removed".

I will be happy to provide any additional information you ask for.

Thanks for the help!

BR
I use USB HD for recording storage as well. I found it works better to create a mount for them in /etc/fstab. This way they get mounted without having to login and the mount point will not change.

This is the way.
