install on debian 11 Bullseye on amd64

i can't run the unstable version on debian 11.

i did the following:

sudo apt-get y install coreutils wget apt-transport-https lsb-release ca-certificates
wget -qO https://doozer.io/keys/tvheadend/tvheadend/pgp | sudo tee /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/tvheadend.asc

sudo sh -c 'echo "deb https://apt.tvheadend.org/unstable $(lsb_release -sc) main" | tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tvheadend.list'

sudo apt-get update

and i get theerror

W: GPG error: https://apt.tvheadend.org/unstable bullseye Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 89942AAE5CEAA174
E: The repository 'https://apt.tvheadend.org/unstable bullseye Release' is not signed.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

i tested it on debian 10 with the same error message.

The issue with the public key seems to be a general issue with Debian at the moment. I tried to install hd-idle from this repo https://adelolmo.github.io/ and endet up with an identical error message.

I tried it also with Bullseye and Buster.

I am currently setting up a newer version of openmediavault since openmediavault 4 (Stretch based) is reaching end of life but I am unable to install Tvheadend which is quite frustrating since it worked flawlessly under openmediavault 4.

The repository is broken since a few months: https://tvheadend.org/issues/6131

I wasted 2 days on this. I think docker ist the way to go.

Just install Docker/Portainer and off you go. I just did the same and it works like a charm!

Just install Docker and It's worked well. I think you can try.

if you not worried about the absolute newest release, Use "snap" to install tvheadend

I felt like I was cheating but runs fine

And will have most slowest and limited version,
lot of problems with permissions and etc.
