I had TVHeadend working with an HD Homerun dual. It did have some issues, like recording stopped working, and it crashed a lot as did the Kodi client.
When I had tried to add IPTV channel List as seen here : https://tvheadend.org/d/7455-daddylive-plutotv-xumo-m3u-xmltv-samsungtv-plex-tvguide-interfaces-appliance the darn thing seemed to stop scanning.
First question is why must I even scan an IPTV list? I mean if there are bad channels why can I not add it without scanning and manually eliminate any channels that do not work?
Now I did a reinstall of TVheadend after remove and purge of old install, but I know it was not purged and same result once I add IPTV list I can no longer complete a scan. It worked fine already on a previous install with only my HDHomerun scanning. when reinstalled and purged I also remove the /home/hts/ folder manually as it does not get cleaned up either.
Second question how can I completely purge the package? I see the user set at install survives a remove + purge once reinstalled. As when I do not reset the user it allows me to use the previous user/pass to get to initial web interface.
The other problem haunting me is the lack of recordings. They worked on my initial install then stopped.
I think I must have some bad settings that carry over from install to install surviving the purge.
this is Raspberry Pi 3 running Raspbian based on Stretch.
attached is what I have been looking at for 30+ minutes now withh no change whatsoever. Also note in the upper right it says "No Verified Access" as if I am not logged in. This shows like that from the moment I log in.
Web server seems unresponsive and TVH stops using CPU
Ill need to reboot again and may try yet another install.
