Strange issue with certain HD channels

I live in the UK and I'm running Tvheadend on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, streaming using htsp to Kodi clients. The issue I'm having is with a couple of HD channels - BBC2 HD, Channel 4 HD and Channel 5 HD work fine however BBC1 HD and ITV1 HD start ok but after a couple of seconds the video slows dowe and the audio goes out of sync. All other channels work perfectly.

I'm not sure what might be causing the issue so any help would be most appreciated.

What encoding do the problem channels use?

What hardware are your clients running on? Does the problem change with different hardware?

if your on an older Pi running kodi try the mpeg2 license

if it's a Pi4 try turning off deinterlacing on the particular channel

I have never managed to sort this issue out. It only happens on HD channels and it doesn’t matter the hardware Kodi is running on. I have issues on PI 3’s and 4’s plus it’s the same on both of my Sony Bravia smart tv’s. TVHeadend is using the pass-through encoder.
