Match channels with service name rather than tvg-id

Is it possible to use the service name rather than the tvg-id to match channels with my xmltv? I using the external grabber.

hmm. searching "advanced user settings" in this forum and google don't help.

I also tried changing the General->Base View Level to Advanced from Expert as well as doing the same for all of the Channel/EPG tabs.

The wiki doesn't mention advanced user settings.

Any other "clues" to help shove me along?

-Using TVHeadend 4.2.8 on Ubuntu

On this ancient version there is no such settings update to latest.

ok, forgive my ignorance than... I'll wait until this feature gets added to a stable release and play with a more updated release on a different computer if I have time.

btw- your guide on building the package was well written and easy to follow. nice work!
