Thanks for that. Not immediately obvious to me why that should work but it does. It seems to require a leap of faith beyond me :)

Thanks. They're not so much opt-outs as the only programme available. The HD channel transmits a static apology picture for the duration.
But it's sensible to connect both BBC NEWS and BBC NEWS HD to the same channel? TVH knows that the HD channel is preferred and it should only use the SD one if there's a problem with reception of the HD version?
