Hi, sorry if this has been covered before but I can't seem to find anything to help me out. Is there a problem with OTA updates in 4.2.6? I'm using Sky UK OTA module and it's missing (what seems to be random) channels out of the EPG. Well, it's not even full channels. For example, "ID" channel (channel no. 154) is missing all of today, then has most of tomorrow then just odd programs everyday till Tuesday. There seems to be random channels like this dotted around.

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get them to update. I've tried enabling and disabling various modules, deleting the epg database, changing priorities and other stuff that I've lost track of. Anyone else had this problem and managed to get it working? Is it worth updating to 4.3 and seeing if that fixes it? Thanks for any help, it's driving me mad haha.

Yeah, I'm sick of messing with it so I've just set it up and left it. Freeview channels all work ok, just have the odd gaps in the Sky lineup. It seems to have improved over time since I left it and now there's just odd days on odd channels missing. Like Sky One yesterday only had info from about 6am till 12pm then nothing till 7pm when it's fine again.

OTA EPG is fine with terrestrial. Problem seems to be with DVB S/S2 tuners with the latest version of TVheadend this is what i found when i compiled and built a older version of TVheadend.

Sorry, said freeview, meant to say freesat. I'm using the SKY EPG and freesat EPG together now and the freesat channels are fine. Just the SKY channels I have a problem with.

So adding Freesat Home Transponder fixes issue with Freesat. Credits to Paul. Add,

Just added that, can't really see a difference but to be honest the freesat channels seemed fine anyway. So do you have the 11428 and 11425 muxes both set to scan for epg data?

Hi Christopher. Sorry for the late reply, you need to add the Freesat Home Transponder under Muxes. Re-scan once scan is done head over to Bouquets and look for England SD and HD. Select your Region mine is West Midlands. Once doing that Re-Scan the EPG should be fully populated in Tvheadend GUI and in Kodi.

Ah right, I'm not using freesat bouquets, I'm using the Sky Bouquets. My freesat bouquets have always been fine, it's the sky epg that is missing data every now and again. I've got it almost working now, only the odd gap on random channels, nothing that's really effecting anything.

One thing I have done which has improved things, if you enable the EIT grabber and enable asynchronous epg updating in the Kodi tvheadend settings, a channel missing epg data will fill in the Now & Next data when you start to play the channel (rather than having to reload the whole epg in Kodi). Better than nothing if you just want to know what's on a channel that the epg data hasn't been populated.
