Why can't I resume in progress recordings?

Was recording and watching some curling last night and stopped watching and came back a bit later. Not given the option to resume. Had to FF back to where I left out. Completed recordings typically give me the option to resume.

Is this a tvh or kodi limitation?

It's a Kodi issue. Not technically a bug, because it is related to the way that Kodi handles recordings as movies, not live tv. See my reply to your post on the Kodi forum for possible causes. Unfortunately, there is no solution.
