Where is configuration stored

I've been using TVHeadend 2.12, installed with +hts-tvheadend_2.12_i386.deb+ from the download page, for some time and it is working fine.

I would like to go ahead and compile from source code instead and when doing that copy the configuration I've done already to the new location.

Can anyone let me know what files I need to copy across and where those are stored?

$HOME/.hts/tvheadend

where $HOME is the home directory of the user you use to run TVHeadend. For the deb that will typically be hts.

I strongly recommend that if you're going to be playing around with the latest code, you do as you mentioned, create a copy of the config. Best bet is to put it in your own home directory and just make sure you have permission to access DVB card and run TVH as yourself (its just easier for testing etc..).
