I did notice the installer creates a User Group but with no permissions to it self or any other user, adjusted them but still nothing.

.txt or .edl files so Kodi skips the detected ads. I can get comskip to do 1 file perfectly but can not find any command to monitor/scan an entire folder. If anyone does, your input would be very much appreciated.

I had the same issues as you and here is what I did.
- Manual install 4.1.2437 version from
http://syno.dierkse.nl/
- Setup TVHeadend in that version (Only did a few channels as a test)
- Reboot and verify everything sticks
- Add the
http://syno.dierkse.nl/ to the synology repo and enable third party apps
- Go to community section and refresh
- Update your current version of tvheadend-testing (it should prompt you)
Then I can login and I added all my channels rebooted and everything stuck. So far so good!
