Good morning everyone, I just discovered TVHeadend a few days ago, and it looks like it exactly what im after, it even has an official AppleTV app! However I am having some issues getting it all setup.
Here is what I have;
1. TvHeadend 4.0 installed on Synology DS412+ (nearly 8TB of free space)
2. Tuner is a HDHomerun Prime. (I have a cablecard installed and it works perfect through HDHomerun View and the "Channels" app on the AppleTV) I am picking up a tuning adapter today so I can get the prime channels too. (Not HBO, Showtime, etc..When I say prime I mean like Science channel and stuff like that)
3. My Cable provider is BrightHouse Networks in Central Florida.
Heres what I'm hoping to do;
1. Primarily utilize the tvh client app for Apple TV
2. Have an on screen guide
3. Be able to have DVR capabilities, Schedule, recurring, and watch recording from within the app.
4. I would like to be able to access tvheadend from my Roku as well. (if possible)
Here is what I have tried;
1. I installed the HDHomerun drivers from the Synology repo listed on the tvheadend main site.
2. I made sure to enable DTV in Synology Video Station.
3. tvheadend picks up my HDhomerun prime without any problems (seemingly)
4. I have tried running through the first run wizard several times but unfortunately I do not know exactly what to pick.
5. I have tried DVB-C and ATSC-C
6. I have tried every predefined mux in the list (I dont know which one to actually use), and some of them say they found stuff during scanning, but when its done I still have no channels.
7. I tell it to setup all services, and I still have nothing.
8. When all is said and done, and the scan is finished, I still have no EPG, and I dont get any channels what so ever.
I really hope this isnt a duplicate, but I have read the entire setup guide over at http://docs.tvheadend.org/ and I have searched the forums and found nothing. Most of the people I found were using the HDhomerun Connect, or Extend with an Antenna.
Sorry if got a little long winded but I try to give as much detail as possible. I really hope to get this working and tvheadend looks like an awesome solution if I can get it working.
