I cannot seem to get TVHeadend to find my cable channels
Configuration:
Raspberry PI 2
HDHomerun Prime (HDHR3-CC w/firmware 20150826) connected to Ethernet
Connected to cable - no cable card needed - channels unencrypted
HTS Tvheadend 4.0.8 ~ OpenELEC Tvh-addon v6.0.4 (from unofficial)
OpenELEC 6.0.3
Location - United States (Antietam Cable)
The HDHR is working fine. I can watch Live TV on iPad on same network and using OE if I have the HDHR add-on installed/enabled. When I had HDHR Add-on enabled, I could not see the HDHR tuner in TVHeadend. I disabled HDHR add-on and I could see the tuner in TVHeadend. Also I did not need to install any drivers to see Live tv.
I open TVHeadend in browser <ip address>:9981
Configuration - DVB Inputs under TV Adapter tree I see:
TV Adapters
|__HDHomeRun (1322C3FC) - IP address
|__ HDHomeRun DVB-C Tuner #0 (Ip address)
|__ HDHomeRun DVB-C Tuner #1 (Ip address)
|__ HDHomeRun DVB-C Tuner #2 (Ip address)
Made sure all three tuners were Enabled. So far all okay...however, when I try to setup Network is where I start having issues
I select the Network tab then select +Add...for type I select DVB-C, give it a name,
Check Network Discovery, Skip Initial Scan
Uncheck Service ID, Ignore Provider, Idle Scan Muxes
I don't select any Pre-defined Muxes because they are all outside US
At this point I'm stuck. I get no channels mapped and 0 for # muxes (even after forced scan)
Is DVB-C correct for US cable?
Is there a pre-defined mix for US Cable?
Any help/comments on steps I am using?
