Megasat SAT>IP Server 2

I have an "SAT>IP Server 2" from Megasat, but I can't get Tvheadend working as a client.

I already tried the release, stable and unstable repositories with same result.

I have tried another Client (SatIP DVB Viewer), it's working without any problems.

I used Wireshark to get some details about what happens and I figured out that there is a difference in SETUP between Tvheadend and SatIP DVB Viewer.

Tvhaedend is 192.168.2.104, SatIP DVB Viewer is 192.168.2.196 and SAT>IP Server is 192.168.2.80.

Tvheadend shows the following error:

satip: SAT>IP DVB-S Tuner #1 (192.168.2.80) - RTSP SETUP error -5 (Input/output error) [6-500]

Any suggestions what to do to solve the problem and to get Tvheadend working as SAT>IP Client?

Hi,

i have exactly the same problem RTSP SETUP error -5 (Input/output error). Tried for hours but will give up soon :-( DVBViewer works out of the box but Tvheadend always outputs this error.

Same problem here.

Solved it by creating one Mux.
IMPORTANT you have to specify Modulation, FEC and Rolloff as leaving these set to Auto stops TVH from sending the related parameters to the server - which then returns Error 500 - leading in turn to RTSP SETUP error 5
Once the Mux is created hit Force Scan on the Networks tab and the rest of the Muxes are automatically scanned in
