Thanks for the links !
Indeed I installed the android app, it works showing the tvguide, and indeed it has a resolution setting (but cant use it right now, ill look into that later).
However, I am also still confused about the transcoding branch:
- There is a zipfile, or I can use "git clone
https://github.com/john-tornblom/tvheadend.git"
However, both give different results. Are they not supposed to be the same? Anyway, I need the zipfile it appears....
(Using git clone gives a working tvheadend which basically looks like the normal thing, and i can watch tv frm a browser.)
Using the zipfile, I get a version that tries to endcode/transcode, but ends with errors ( when looking using a browser):

So, am i missing some dependencies?
I did try with both FFMpeg and libav installed (not at the same time since they block eachother).
I looked through the readmefiles etc, but can't seem to find any clues...
Thanks for any clues....
Alex.
EDIT:
Ok, I am some steps further, I managed to install the right version of the transcoding branch and it now works with LIBav.
It might seem trivial but getting the right version to work woth LibAv was not so easy for me on my system (gentoo) : Some versions crashed on LIBAV, other versions ( when using FFMPEG) where starting but failed on trying to transcode.
However, I've got the right version now it seams.
