Hi guys

aparently i am not the only one as far as i could read on the forum.

So i am basically new to TVheadEnd and i am trying to configure my DVB card to scan some channels but its giving me the failed scan all the time i have setup the network , choosen the sat etc.. when i make the search it allways fails

it seems ubuntu recognize the DVB card drivers correctly

Well, you appear to be missing firmware.. "Direct firmware load failed with error -2" fix that and try again :)

well today i have actually downloaded and compiled the TBS original drivers for my TBS6920 now its showing this

aldo its still giving me error scanning, i have noticed my LNB is a universal type for old Circular antenna dishes, but it has 2 output connectors, cause it actually scans on KU band and C band also. so i had to configure this previously using Switch diseqC on my STB with one sat config on the C band and same Sat config on 2nd port switch with KU band, this way i was able to scan channels on my Linux STB, aldo its not working on my TVheadend with the TBS driver, it allways fails scanning on the channels.

any more ideas i am getting this error on the log output from tvheadend now

Make sure you're entering most (if not all) values correctly, avoid using AUTO.

Most tuner drivers use the chipset names not the name of the tuner.

It looks to be the right names for the chipset.

Remember if you're using a pre-defined mux list some +will+ fail (as they are really out of date), if it still fails even after entering your own mux try something like w_scan. if that finds services and results in a signal ok message it means you're not entering enough details into Tvheadend.

If you can, post a screenshot here of the mux you're trying to scan.

yes i have deleted them all and have done it manually inserted all the data updated.

1st i scanned the TPs with my Linux STB

2nd i copied all the Transponder data and i have added exactly the same way to the TVheadend configuration.

then i press scan and it fails no channel found at all.

thats the strange part of it cannot find any channel at all, aldo the sat signal is ok, cause i plug my stb and it finds the channel

btw the channel i am scanning on DVBS2 is HD chnanel beeing broadcasted on 8PSK

its beeing broadcasted on C band but as we know "or most should know" on the Linux STBs we scan them using Universal LNB aldo the frequency on Universal is 9750 and C band uses 5150 we apply the maths

example channel frequency C band MHZ original = 3860 So we allways calculate it 5150 - 3680 = 1470mhz

then we add this 1470 to 9750 = 11220 mhz frequency on stb with Universal LNB type setup. the symbol rate its allways the same from the original

this works 100% on the linux STB and any other non linux stb as long as we use universal lnb type.

So this channel frequency works well on all my linux STB and non linux i can get the signal lock to channel

aldo it fails , even an SD channel on frequency 10905 its also failing with TVheadend.

BTW this is the output log on the terminal

any other ideas?

Looks like you're missing an extra zero off the symbol rate shown in that image and an additional zero off the second frequency in the Muxes image.

well the image was wrong was old image the updated kept giving the same result..

funny enough, i shutdown the ubuntu-server and removed the PCI slot and placed it back up again.

And did a new scan on the edited transponders and now it picked the channels up.

Now i am stuck on the users permissions and transcode + streaming to mp4 format so i can share tv channel to Plex IPTV module.

i can watch the channel directly with VLC from the services window on tvheadend.

But on th channels/epg window when i press play it does not allow me to play the stream
