Hi there,
i've had some problems with TvHeadend. I recently ordered sky Germany.
After setting up everything right with TvHeadend, i run into some problems.
First off, my EPG data was not allways there. So we decided to buy the service from epgdata for germany.
We found out preaviously that the umlauts are not right in the sky epg data, and decided to buy the service in the hope this would be better.
But event with the data from epgdata.com the umlauts are wrong (again only for the sky channels) e.g. i get "Der Hundeflüsterer" instead of "Der Hundeflüsterer".
I allready found out i could have to change the DVB charset, but this didn't work. I tried "ISO8859-1" wich is LATIN-1 in my understandig, wich should have german umlauts.
any idea about this?

3 years old thread... But still faced with the same problem. The EPG data of all german sky channels are not encoded correctly.
Any ideas?

The Thread is even older now, but i also have this Problem with the Sky-Channels.
In the Network and also in the services a didn't set any Character Set (left it untouched so far)
I would really appreciate any help on this.

Is there a correct set of EPG code page in
Settings > Dvb input > Networks
character set?

Thanks for the hint. I set the charset for the sky-services individually to iec_8895_1 and now it works.
-> Solved for me, thanks
